Grandpa's AI Gen

This project explores the creation of a futuristic performance sneaker through an AI-supported design process combined with architectural and biomorphic references. Inspired by parametric structures, fluid geometries, and organic growth patterns such as moss and natural textures, the concept merges technological precision with the softness of nature.

AI-driven exploration meets sustainable material research, shaping a lightweight, breathable silhouette where structural innovation and environmental consciousness converge.

The development began with extensive visual research, drawing from contemporary architecture, structural lattices, and sustainable materials like cork and recycled composites. Artificial intelligence was used as a generative exploration tool to rapidly prototype multiple formal directions, testing proportions, surface perforations, and structural logic. The result is a lightweight, breathable silhouette that balances comfort, innovation, and environmental consciousness.

The R&D phase transformed concepts into a functional and visually coherent product through iterative 3D refinement, structural and optimization.

The R&D phase focused on translating abstract AI-generated forms into a coherent and functional product language. Iterative refinement in 3D modeling allowed the team to optimize geometry, structural resistance, and ergonomic flow while preserving the organic identity of the concept.
An animatic phase was developed to test camera movement, rhythm, and visual storytelling, followed by styleframe exploration to define lighting, materiality, texture, and color grading (LUTs). This ensured that the final visual direction reinforced the product’s futuristic and sustainable narrative.

By combining human intuition, aesthetic sensitivity, and narrative vision with computational iteration, we build a hybrid design approach capable of producing more innovative, technically coherent, and conceptually strong outcomes.
